Pingluo Town, belonging to Kang County, Longnan City, Gansu Province, is located in the northwest of Kang County, bordering douping town and wangguan town in the southeast, Wudu District in the west, Taishi Township in the north, 49 kilometers away from Kang County, with a total area of 117.15 square kilometers.
In the Western Han Dynasty, Pingluo town belonged to Wudu County of the governor of Yizhou; in September 1985, Pingluo township was changed to Pingluo town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in Pingluo town was 10660. As of June 2020, Pingluo town has 15 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the people's Government of the town is located in Pingluo village.

History of construction
Pingluo town is named after the town government's residence in Pingluo village.
In the Western Han Dynasty, Pingle (Luo) road was set up, belonging to Wudu County of the governor of Yizhou.
In the 140th year of Yonghe in the Eastern Han Dynasty, pingledao was abolished.
In the fourth year of Taihe (480) of the Northern Wei Dynasty, Pingluo County was established and belonged to Xiucheng County of Liangzhou.
In the first year of Jiande in the Northern Zhou Dynasty (572), it belonged to Wuzhou.
In the Ming Dynasty, Pingluo post was established.
In 1820, pingluopu was built.
In 1929, Kangxian county was established and Pingluo township was established. In January 1934, Pingluo district was established. In 1940, it was changed to Pingluo town.
In December 1949, after the liberation of Kangxian County, Pingluo district was established and Pingluo township was rebuilt.
In November 1958, Pingluo commune was established in abandoned areas and townships.
In December 1961, Pingluo district was rebuilt in the commune.
In June 1968, liupingluo commune was withdrawn.
In December 1983, Pingluo commune was changed into Pingluo township.
In September 1985, Pingluo township was changed from township to town.
