Dazhi town
Dazhi town is located at the foot of shiwanda mountain in the northwest of Qinbei District, Qinzhou City, Guangxi Province. It is 32 kilometers away from Qinzhou City. Nanfang highway and Qinshang highway run through the whole area. The traffic is very convenient. It borders Huangwutun town in the East, Fangcheng County in the south, Guitai and Dasi town in the north, and Shangsi County in the West. With a total area of 381.17 square kilometers, the town governs 22 village committees and one neighborhood committee, with a population of 88224 (2017).
Historical evolution
Dazhi town has a long history, which can be traced back to the Neolithic age. in the pre Qin period, it belonged to Baiyue. After the first emperor of Qin unified China, Dazhi town was under the jurisdiction of Xiangjun. From the Han Dynasty to the Jin Dynasty, Qinzhou belonged to Hepu County, Jiaozhou. At the end of the Southern Dynasty, Yuanjia established Moshou County, and the Liang Dynasty established Anzhou. in 622 ad, ningyue county was changed to Qinzhou governor's office; in Yuan Dynasty, it was changed to Qinzhou road; in the early Ming Dynasty, it was changed to Qinzhou Prefecture; in the Republic of China, it was changed to Qinxian County, which is under the jurisdiction of the Qinlian special office of Guangdong Province. in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Dazhi town first belonged to Yongle township of Qinzhou. In 1888, Dazhi town was divided into Fangcheng county. During the period of the Republic of China, it was called dadongxiang and changed to Dazhi town in the early days of liberation. after the founding of the people's Republic of China, the office of the Commissioner of corruption was set up in Guangdong Province. In 1951, it was transferred to Guangxi Province, and in 1955, it was restored to Guangdong Province. At one time, it was merged into Zhanjiang district. In 1957, Dazhi was allocated to Qinbei Zhuang Autonomous County, which was divided into Dazhi, Tiantian and wanggangshan townships. Dazhi commune was merged into Renmin Temple commune in autumn 1958, merged into Qin county with Qinbei County on November 15, and established Dazhi commune in April 1959. In July 1965, Dazhi was subordinate to Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and was changed into Qinzhou District Administrative Commissioner's office. It has jurisdiction over seven counties and cities, including Shangsi, Fangcheng, Qinzhou, Lingshan, Pubei, Hepu and Beihai. Dazhi Township belongs to Qinzhou. In 1984, Dazhi township was changed into a town. On June 28, 1994, with the approval of the State Council, Qinzhou District was abolished and a prefecture level Qinzhou City was established. Qinzhou City was divided into Qinnan District and Qinbei District, and Dazhi town was subordinate to Qinbei district.

Dazhi River, also known as Dawan River, is the largest tributary of Maoling river. It originates from diaonai in Nafan village of Dazhi Town, flows through Huangwutun Town, and converges into the main stream of Maoling river at changdunwei of Kangxiling town. The total length of dazhijiang river is 42.3 km, and the drainage area is 864.1 km2. The total drop is 135.6m, and the river bed is Sandy with great changes in erosion and deposition. the river is rich in water, with annual runoff depth of 1600 mm, maximum flow of 1726.3 cubic meters per second, minimum flow of 3.73 cubic meters per second, annual average flow of 22.9 cubic meters per second, and annual runoff of 722 million cubic meters. There is a large secondary tributary Tanying River in the lower reaches of the river. The river section below dazhiwei is navigable for more than 10 tonnage vessels.

Wanggang mountain is one of the eight new scenic spots in Qinzhou. The scenic spot is located in the west of Dazhi Town, Qinbei District, 18 kilometers away from Weizhen town. It belongs to the Shiwandashan Mountain range, and the main part is in the west of Dazhi Town, Qinzhou, covering an area of 1637 hectares. Wanggang mountain is high and steep with steep slopes, steep walls and dangerous peaks, dense forests and dense clouds.
