Before 1949, it belonged to Hexi township. In 1983, it was restored to jinfosi township. In 1986, jinfosi township was transformed into a town. History of construction
Before 1949, it belonged to Hexi township.
In 1950, Hexi District was built.
In 1955, two townships, jinfosi and Hongsi, were set up.

In 1971, it was changed into jinfosi commune.
