Shenyu Township
Shenyu Township, belonging to Huating City, Pingliang City, Gansu Province, is located in the southeast of Huating City, at the intersection of Huating, Chongxin and Longxian counties, connecting Xinyao town of Chongxin County in the East, huoshaozhai township of Longxian County in Shaanxi Province in the south, Shangguan Township in the West and Ankou town in the north. The total area of the administrative area is 101.95 square kilometers, and by the end of 2018, the registered residence population in Shen Yu township was 11751.
Shenyu township was originally named "Shenyu" because it is located in the deep of Heihe River Valley, and later evolved into "Shenyu". The import and export of the ancient "Huizhong road" and the "Fanxu road" on the ancient Silk Road were called "Fanxu road" in ancient times. During the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, Tang Yongxin city was set up in Xiaguan. After 1949, Xiaguan District was set up when the government was established democratically. In September 1984, Shenyu Hui Township was established. As of June 2020, Shenyu township has 10 administrative villages and 1 community.
