Haxi Town, belonging to Tianzhu Tibetan Autonomous County, Wuwei City, Gansu Province, is located in the northwest of Tianzhu Tibetan Autonomous County, adjacent to Zhangyi town of Liangzhou District and Gufeng township of Gulang County in the East, zhuaxixiulong town and Anyuan town in the south, Zhugu township of Menyuan County in Qinghai Province in the West, Dahonggou Township and maozang Township in the north. The administrative area is 509.8 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Haxi town was 21545.
Haxi Town, because Haxi is the transliteration of "Hachi" in Tibetan, means "seat of father". It is said that in ancient times, there was a leader of ten thousand families living here, so it got its name. During the Yuan Dynasty, the territory of Haxi town was under the jurisdiction of Xiliang Prefecture; in October 1968, chagang, Longtan, Haxi and Tuanjie communes were merged into red flag commune; in February 1970, it was renamed Haxi commune; in May 1983, it was divided into zati, Longtan and chagang, belonging to Haxi District. In October 1985, Haxi town was established. As of June 2020, Haxi town has jurisdiction over 1 community, 12 administrative villages, and the town people's government is located in Gucheng village.

History of construction
In the Yuan Dynasty, the territory of Haxi town was under the jurisdiction of Xiliang Prefecture.
Ming Zhengtong three years (1438), for the Gulang Shouyu Qianhu jurisdiction.
In the Qing Dynasty, it was under the jurisdiction of liangzhouwei.
In August 1949, it was the fifth protection in Tianzhu District of Yongdeng County.
In May 1950, it was the fourth township of Tianzhu autonomous region.
In October 1953, it was divided into chagang, Longtan, nashu and zati townships.
In November 1958, the four townships were merged into Haxi commune.
In July 1962, it was divided into four communes: chagang, Longtan, Haxi and Tuanjie.
In October 1968, chagang, Longtan, Haxi, Tuanjie commune were incorporated into the red flag commune.
In February 1970, it was renamed Haxi commune.
In May 1983, it was divided into zati, Longtan and chagang townships, belonging to Haxi district.
