Huangyangchuan Town, belonging to Gulang County, Wuwei City, Gansu Province, is 25 kilometers southeast of Gulang county. It is adjacent to Hengliang town in the East, Xidatan Township and Duoshi Township in Tianzhu Tibetan Autonomous County in the south, Shilibao Township in the West and Huanghuatan town in the north. The area is 268.28 square kilometers. In 2019, Huangyangchuan town governs 12 administrative villages, with a permanent population of 4003 households and 16595 people.

Historical evolution
In 1959, hegaofeng commune, chanzi commune, Gulang commune, Xidatan commune and Songlin commune were part of Huangyangchuan commune.
In 1982, Huangyangchuan district was set up, with jurisdiction over zhangjiadun, yaoershui, yikeshu and Shicheng.
In 1984, Huangyangchuan township was established.
In December 2002, the township was withdrawn and Huangyangchuan town was established.
