Caiqi town belongs to Minqin County, Wuwei City, Gansu Province. Caiqi town is named after Caiqi fort in Ming Dynasty. In January 1956, it was divided into Cai Qi township. In October 1958, Cai Qi commune was established. In April 1983, Cai Qi township was established. As of June 2020, Caiqi town has jurisdiction over two communities, 10 administrative villages and one village level unit.
