Huxi street is located in the west of Shapingba District (within the direct management Park of Chongqing high tech Zone). It is the core area of Chongqing University Town. The street name means "intelligent innovation like tiger, civilization like stream". It is adjacent to Chenjiaqiao street of Shapingba District in the East, Zengjia town of high tech Zone in the south, Bishan District in the West and Fengwen street of Shapingba District in the north, covering an area of 25.03 square kilometers. The street office is located in the west of high tech Zone 196 Wing Avenue. There are 7 colleges and universities (major, heavy division, Army Medical University, Chuanmei, heavy medical, Chongqing Institute of science and technology, urban management college), 21 primary and secondary kindergartens, 198 education and training institutions, rich in various educational and cultural resources, profound cultural heritage, transportation in all directions. There are "D + m" Langjian intelligent manufacturing factory, Sichuan Academy of fine arts college students' Entrepreneurship incubation base, Optics Valley intelligent Innovation Park, dream garden and other territorial incubator innovation and entrepreneurship bases. Huxi township was built in 1930.

It was changed into Huxi commune in 1958.

Huxi town was changed in 1993.

In March 1995, it was transferred from Ba County to Shapingba District.

In 2011, Huxi town was replaced by Huxi street.

On December 24, 2019, the 14th meeting of the Standing Committee of the fifth Chongqing Municipal People's Congress passed the decision on the administrative management of Chongqing high tech Industrial Development Zone, and Huxi street was officially included in the scope of Chongqing high tech Zone directly managed park; from January 1, 2020, Chongqing high tech Zone Management Committee implemented the economic and social integration management of Chongqing high tech Industrial Development Zone directly managed park.

Chongqing Rail Transit Line 1, North Road of University City, Xuecheng Avenue, South Road of University City and middle road of university city run through Huxi street, so the traffic is very convenient. Huxi commune

It is located at No.95 North Road of University City. Take University City Light Rail Line 1 to university city station, and then walk for 5 minutes.

Huxi commune has become a landmark of Chuanmei new campus. Since it was put into use in 2010, it has gathered many famous contemporary Chinese artists and young artists, such as Luo Zhongli, Pang Maokun, Zhang Xiaogang, Fang Lijun, Wang Guangyi, Yue Minjun, etc., known as the largest "Artist Village" in China.

The whole appearance of Huxi commune is a warehouse building, with hollow design, red brick walls, exposed drainage ditches, showing a unique artistic sense. The interior design refers to the ancient buildings. When the sunlight falls, it will cause wonderful light and shadow phenomenon.

Huxi commune provides creative space for young artists with extremely low rent. Because artists in Huxi commune are used to creating at night, the doors of artists' studios in Huxi commune are often closed during the day.

[Luo Zhongli Art Museum]

Located in the University Town Campus of Sichuan Academy of fine arts, it is one of the three provincial art museums in Chongqing, and also the largest art museum in Chongqing.

Luo Zhongli art museum is mainly a cultural and artistic exhibition, covering traditional Chinese painting, oil painting, print, sculpture and other professional exhibits. The overall layout of the building is enclosed, with free combination of volume, flexible and rich space. The architectural works are created by famous artists such as Luo Zhongli and Hao Dapeng. Such unique architectural works not only bring new vitality to Sichuan Academy of fine arts, but also guide the trend of contemporary Chinese architecture. Outside the art gallery, the mottled pattern is very eye-catching, using broken ceramic tiles as materials to collage color pictures. The broken ceramic tiles used for collage of exterior wall patterns are all "scrap" purchased by Chuanmei in various factories.

Luo Zhongli Art Museum started construction in 2012 and was completed in October 2014. Its construction shortens the distance between people and art, makes more people know about art, and establishes a good art museum for the people. In June every year, the graduation works exhibition of Chuanmei graduates will be held here.

Zhuoyouxi Street

Located in the heart of the University Town, it is close to the three universities, the main urban roads and Metro Line 1 stations.

Tomb of martyr Li Fu

It is located in LAOCHANG town of Huxi. Martyr Li Fu was born in Wu'an County, Shanxi Province, a member of the Communist Party of China and a platoon leader of a PLA unit. On March 27, 1950, he died bravely in the fight against bandits in Zeng hometown, former Huxi district.

Located in Jianxin village, it was built in the Qing Dynasty and is now listed as a district level cultural relics protection unit. This traditional residential building integrates architectural art and folk culture, and has important cultural and artistic value.

Located at 97 North University Town Road.
