Shengtian Town, Gaoxian County, Yibin City, Sichuan Province, is located in the northeast of Gaoxian County, in the middle of Yichang Road, 32 kilometers away from Yibin City and 28 kilometers away from Changning County, covering an area of 84.08 square kilometers. It governs 19 administrative villages, 1 community, 134 villager groups and 4 resident groups. The total population is 12465 (2017).

On August 26, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved the adjustment of some administrative regions of Yibin City, and put the administrative region of Tonggu village in Shengtian town under the jurisdiction of Yuejiang town.

It governs 19 administrative villages, 1 community, 134 villager groups and 4 resident groups. The total population is 12465 (2017). The cultivated land area is 1553.93 hectares, the forest area is 2833.33 hectares, and the forest coverage rate is 31.6%. The largest living fossil of the same age as dinosaurs in Southwest China, the original Alsophila spinulosa sea, is located in hongyanshan scenic spot (picture) in Shengtian Town, Gaoxian County, with nearly 100000 Alsophila spinulosa trees.

Hongyan mountain scenic spot is not only the tourism resources of Shengtian Town, but also an important part of urban tourism in Yibin City. It is one of the key scenic spots on the tourism line of "Bamboo Sea in southern Sichuan". It is the best resort to carry out religious pilgrimage and primitive ecological tourism. Shengtian town is rich in rice, cocoon, tea, bamboo and fruit, which is known as "the land of fish and rice". Historical evolution

Qing Dynasty belongs to Qingfu County Yisu township. In the 15th year of the Republic of China (1926), it was set up to worship heaven. In October 1951, Shengtian commune was built together with Shihe Township and Fuhan Township, named after the meaning of "man will conquer nature". In September 1992, the district was removed to build a town.

Shengtian town is a big agricultural town, which mainly produces rice, corn, red sorghum and forestry, and mainly breeds pigs, ducks and fish. Hongyanshan scenic spot

As a national AAA scenic spot, Hongyan mountain has invested 60 million in tourism development since 2006, and is now striving to build a 4A scenic spot. If it is built successfully, Hongyan mountain will become the fifth 4A scenic spot in Yibin City after Shunan Bamboo Sea, Xingwen stone forest, XIJIASHAN ancient folk houses in Jiang'an and Lizhuang ancient town.

The red rock mountain in Danxia landform is named after all red sandstone, with forest coverage rate of more than 78%. Alsophila spinulosa

The largest living fossil of dinosaurs in Southwest China, the original Alsophila spinulosa sea, is located in hongyanshan scenic spot in Shengtian Town, Gaoxian County, with nearly 100000 Alsophila spinulosa trees. Among them, liumihu, Xujiagou and malangou are relatively dense. Among them, there are more than 40000 Alsophila spinulosa trees in malangou, DAAO. Because of its wide distribution and large number, malangou is known as the Alsophila spinulosa sea, which is one of the famous scenic spots of Hongyan mountain in Shengtian. Alsophila spinulosa is the representative of exserted plants. It is a rare species left over from the Cretaceous period. It is the only woody fern in existence today. It appeared more than 300 million years ago, 150 million years earlier than dinosaurs. It is known as living fossil of plants, and is a national first-class protected plant. Therefore, Shengtian town has a good reputation as "the hometown of Alsophila spinulosa".

Liumi Temple

Youdao is the "ancient temple hidden in deep mountains". There is a Liumi temple in Hongyan mountain scenic area, which is known as "the first temple in South Sichuan". The red temple, located on Niutou mountain, echoes the red rock mountain. The temple has a history of more than 230 years. The mountain form supporting the temple is unique. Liumi temple, with a long history, once had the history of three sages of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism serving together. There are thousands of years of Moyan stone carvings in Liumi cave.

"There is also a magical and profound legend about the name of Liumi temple." According to local people, a long time ago, there was a Liumi cave in the temple, which was naturally formed due to wind and rain erosion. Rice was constantly flowing out every day. There were many monks and many flowing rice, but they could only eat for the monks.

Later, a greedy monk chiseled the grottoes to make them flow more rice in order to exchange for what they needed. However, after the grottoes were chiseled, they did not flow any more rice.

Therefore, the temple is named "Liumi Temple", and there is a "commandment of corruption" in front of the temple
