Hongxiang Town, belonging to Liangzhou District, Wuwei City, Gansu Province, is located in the north of Liangzhou District, connecting Shuangcheng Town in the East, Yongchang Town in the south, Wuhe town and fengle town in the west, and zhuwangbao town in Yongchang County in the north. The administrative area is 65.13 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the registered residence of Hong Xiang town was 22957.
From the Western Han Dynasty to the "five Liang" period of the Sixteen States, Hongxiang town was located in guzang County, Wuwei County; in July 1983, Hongxiang town was established; in August 2002, Hongxiang town was established. As of June 2020, Hongxiang town has jurisdiction over one community and eight administrative villages, and the people's Government of Hongxiang town is located in linjiadazhuang, Liujiagou village.

History of construction
From the Western Han Dynasty to the "Wuliang" period of the Sixteen States, Hongxiang town belonged to guzang County, Wuwei County.
From the Northern Wei Dynasty to the early Sui Dynasty, it belonged to Linzhong county and Xiangcheng County of Wuwei County.
In the Yuan Dynasty, it belonged to Liangzhou in the west of Yongchang Road.
During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was successively returned to liangzhouwei county and Wuwei County.
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it belonged to Shuangcheng township of Wuwei County.
After September 1949, it belongs to Shuangcheng district.
In July 1952, it belongs to the Sixth District (Shuangcheng).
In January 1956, it was called Hongxiang township.
In October 1958, Shuangcheng commune was merged with Shuangcheng and Siba townships to form Shuangcheng commune.
In 1962, Hongxiang commune was established.
In July 1983, Hongxiang township was established.
In August 2002, Hongxiang township was removed from township to town.
