On December 11, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Ya'an City to adjust the administrative divisions of some townships (cfzm [2019] No. 14): Wuxian Township and affiliated urban and rural areas were abolished and Wuxian Town was established. The administrative area of Wuxian Town was the former Wuxian Township and affiliated urban and rural areas of nancunba village and Yanxigou village. The people's Government of Wuxian Town was stationed at No. 106, xiaomaoping group, Maoping village.

On December 11, 2019, the people's Government of Sichuan Province approved the abolition of Wuxian Township and attached urban and rural areas and the establishment of Wuxian Town. The administrative area of Wuxian Town is the administrative area of the former Wuxian Township and attached urban and rural areas. The people's Government of Wuxian Town is stationed at No. 106, xiaomaoping group, Maoping village.
