Caotan town
Caotan Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Huining County, Baiyin City, Gansu Province, is located in the north of Huining County, bordering liujiazhaizi town in the East, sifangwu town and tumenxian town in the south, BaiCaoYuan town in the West and tugaoshan Township in the north, with a total administrative area of 211.1 square kilometers.
Before 1949, it was under the jurisdiction of Jingyuan County; after 1949, it was under the jurisdiction of five districts (Riverside) of Huining County; in 1983, it was changed to caotan Township during the reform of rural institutions. In 2016, caotan township was built from township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in the town was 13050. In June 2020, seven administrative villages will be under the jurisdiction of caotan town.
In 2011, the per capita net income of farmers in caotan town was 2890 yuan. In 2018, caotan town has 9 industrial enterprises and 3 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
Before 1949, it was under the jurisdiction of Jingyuan County.
After 1949, it was under the jurisdiction of five districts (Riverside) of Huining county.
In 1951, it belonged to bazhai township (Gaojiayuan).
In 1954, it belongs to ten districts (Liuzhai) Maili township.
In 1958, it belonged to Liuzhai commune.
In 1961, caotan commune was established.
In 1965, it was incorporated into Liuzhai commune.
In 1972, caotan commune was restored.
In 1983, when the rural institutions were reformed, it was changed to caotan township.
In 2016, caotan township was built from township.
