Houjiachuan Town, belonging to Huining County, Baiyin City, Gansu Province, is located in the south of Huining County, adjacent to dangjiaxian Township in the East, yigangchuan town of Tongwei County in the south, Zhongchuan Township in the West and xintianbao Hui Township in the north, with a total administrative area of 112.3 square kilometers.

Before 1949, it belonged to xinhou township; in 1983, it was changed to houjiachuan township. In 2014, houjiachuan township was built from township. As of 2020 05, the registered residence population of Hou Jia Chuan town was 13634. In June 2020, houjiachuan town governs one community and seven administrative villages.

In 2018, houjiachuan town has one industrial enterprise and five comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

History of construction

Before 1949, it belonged to xinhou township.

After 1949, it was under the jurisdiction of Zhongchuan district.

In 1958, it was under the jurisdiction of dangjiaxian and Zhongchuan commune.

In 1962, houjiachuan commune was established.

In 1965, it was withdrawn and merged.

In 1973, houjiachuan commune was restored.

In 1983, it was changed to houjiachuan township.

In 2014, houjiachuan township was built from township.

Houjiachuan town is located in the hilly and gully area of the Loess Plateau in the middle of Gansu Province, where the terrain fluctuates greatly. The highest point is located in Lucha community of Luhe village, with an altitude of 2293 meters; the lowest point is located in miaoping community of Luhe village, with an altitude of 1880 meters.
