Mitan town

Mitan Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Jingyuan County, Baiyin City, Gansu Province, is located in the north of Jingyuan County, bounded by Dongwan town in the East, Wulan town and the county town across the river in the south, Beiwan town and Liuchuan Township in the west, and Santan Township in the north, with a total administrative area of 146.74 square kilometers.

After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), mitan Township Office was set up; in 1968, it was restored to mitan commune; in 1983, it was changed to mitan township. In August 2016, mitan township was removed from the township and built into a town. By the end of 2018, the population of mintan town registered residence was 26154. In June 2020, mitan town governs 8 administrative villages.

In 2011, the per capita net income of farmers in mitan town was 4600 yuan. In 2018, there were 7 industrial enterprises and 26 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters in mitan town.

History of construction

After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), mitan Township Office was set up.

After 1949, JianZheng was the Fifth District Office of Jingyuan County.

In 1958, mitan commune was established.

In 1963, it was changed to mitan district office.

In 1968, it was restored to mitan commune.

In 1983, it was changed into mitan township.

In 1989, five villages, namely Zhongyi, Zhonger, Chaoyang, Lianhe and Xintian, were designated and Santan township was added.

In August 2016, mitan township was removed from the township and built into a town.

By the end of 2011, mitan town had eight administrative villages: Dushi, nianwan, Guanlu, Qianjin, Wenhua, Shengli, xiatan, wujiadachuan, and 59 villager groups.

In June 2020, mitan town governs eight administrative villages: xiatan village, Dushi village, nianwan village, Guanlu village, Qianjin village, Shengli village, Wenhua Village, Wujia Dachuan village, and the town people's government is stationed in Guanlu village.
