Wenchuan town
Wenchuan town is subordinate to Chenggu County, Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province. Located in the west of Chenggu County, it is adjacent to Longtou town in the East, Hanwang street in Hantai District in the west, cuijiashan town in the South and Laozhuang town in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 7.7 km, and the maximum distance from north to south is 11 km, with a total area of 26.90 square kilometers.

Historical evolution
The name comes from Wenchuan River, also known as Duke of Zhou.
In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to zhougongbao, East and west of Wenchuan.
