Baicao Town, belonging to Chicheng County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, is located in the northeast of Chicheng County, bordering Fengning Manchu Autonomous County in the East, ciyingzi Township in the southeast, dongwankou Township in the south, dongwankou Township in the west, Sandaochuan Township in the north, 60 kilometers away from the people's Government of Chicheng County, with a total area of 243.95 square kilometers.
In 1918, Baicao town belonged to the Second District of Guyuan County; in 1995, it was changed from Baicao township to Baicao town. By the end of 2018, the population of Bai Cao Town registered residence was 10532. As of June 2020, Baicao town has 16 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the people's Government of Baicao town is located in Baicao village.
In 2018, Baicao town has one industrial enterprise and 13 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In 1918, it belonged to the Second District of Guyuan County. In 1933, it was assigned to Dage county (Fengning County), Rehe province. In November 1948, it was assigned to Chicheng County.
In 1953, Baicao township was established.
In August 1958, Gaofeng commune was established.
In September 1959, it was assigned to Longguan County as Baicao commune.
In May 1960, it belongs to Chicheng County.
In 1984, Baicao commune was changed into Baicao township.
In 1995, Baicao township was changed into Baicao town.
