Talak Township, belonging to Luntai County, Bayingolin Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the north of Luntai County. It is connected with Yangxia town in the East, Caohu pasture in the south, aksalai Township in the West and qunbake town in the north. It is 20 kilometers away from Luntai County, with a total area of 58.14 square kilometers.
In May 1965, Talak commune was merged into akbulak commune; in October 1988, four administrative villages were separated from akbulak township to establish Talak township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence of Tal Lake Township was 5325. In 2019, Talak governs four administrative villages: kumudun village, Talak village, akbulak village and animal husbandry village. The people's government is stationed in Talak village.
The main food crops in Talak township are wheat and corn, and the main animal husbandry is sheep, cattle and poultry. In 2017, there were 21 enterprises in Talak Township, with 148 employees.
History of construction
In May 1965, Tarak commune was incorporated into akblak commune.
In 1970, it was renamed Weidong commune.
In 1978, the name of akbulak commune was restored.
In 1984, akbulak township was established after the establishment of the township.
In October 1988, four administrative villages were separated from akebulake Township and Talak township was established.
