Daozhen
Dao Town, belonging to Ganquan County, Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province. It is located in the south of Ganquan County, with Nanniwan town in Baota District in the East, Chafang town in Fuxian County in the south, Chafang town in Fuxian County in the West and Meishui street in the north. The total area is 682.17 square kilometers.
Daozhen has a long history, many historic sites and numerous temples. There are historic sites such as the Longshan cultural site in Shijiawan with high historical research value and the grand Buddhist temple in Nancha. Xiangbiwan was once the place where Comrade Mao Zedong made his famous speech in the snow.
As of June 2020, Daozhen has one community and 17 administrative villages. As of 2018, the registered residence of Dao town was 17520. In 2011, the total agricultural output value of Daozhen reached 540 million yuan, and the total industrial output value reached 41 million yuan.
Historical evolution
In the Ming Dynasty, there was a post shop named daozuopu. At the end of the Qing Dynasty, it was named daozuobu, which gradually became a market town.
It was daozuobu town in Qing Dynasty.
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it belonged to daozuobu township.
In 1935, it was called Dao town.
In 1949, it governed six townships.
In 1958, Daozhen commune was established, with three administrative areas under its jurisdiction.
In 1983, Daozhen township was set up, with jurisdiction over 18 administrative villages.
In 1998, it was changed into a town.
In 2011, Donggou township was merged into Dao town.

Dao town is located in the hilly and gully area of the Loess Plateau in Northern Shaanxi, with narrow east-west, high terrain in the north and low terrain in the south. The highest point is located in manzhuanghe village, 80 mu plateau, with an altitude of 1505 meters; the lowest point is located on the Bank of lanjiachuan, with an altitude of 950 meters.

Daozhen climate belongs to warm temperate continental monsoon climate, which is characterized by four distinct seasons, dry and windy in spring, hot and less rainfall in summer, cool and rainy in autumn, dry and cold and less snow in winter, large temperature difference in morning and evening and sufficient light. The annual average temperature is 9.2 ℃, the average temperature in January is - 6 ℃, and the extreme minimum temperature is - 27.1 ℃ (December 28, 1991); the average temperature in July is 22.4 ℃, and the extreme maximum temperature is 38.8 ℃ (June 17, 2006). The average annual growth period is 186 days. The annual average frost free period is 167 days. The annual average sunshine hours are 2300.5 hours, and the annual total radiation is 127.5 kcal / cm2. The duration below 0 ℃ is 195 days (usually from October 2 to April 24 of the next year). Water system hydrology
The rivers in Daozhen belong to the Luohe River system of the Yellow River Basin. The main rivers are Luohe River and Fucun river. Luohe River flows from mazijie houniwan to Weihe River from north to south, with a flow length of 15 km. There is a great difference in dry flood, high sediment concentration and turbidity. The flood season is full of ups and downs, which is destructive. The good farmland is washed away occasionally and the river bed is diverted. The disaster is serious. In the dry season, people and vehicles can wade through the water and ice in winter.
