Lingshan Temple Pagoda
Lingshan Temple Pagoda, also known as Yan'an Pagoda, is located on Jialing mountain (pagoda mountain) in the southeast of Yan'an City. It was built in the Tang Dynasty. The existing buildings were rebuilt in the Song Dynasty and repaired in the Ming Dynasty.
Lingshan temple tower is an octagonal brick tower with a height of 44 meters and a perimeter of 36.8 meters. There are two pylons in the north and south, both of which are 2.35 meters high. On the lintel of the south gate, the four characters "Gao Gao Bi Luo" are engraved. There is a tower room in the door of the tower. The top of the tower room is divided by 21 layers of bricks, which is octagonal covered bucket. The lintel of the north gate of the pagoda is engraved with the word "overlooking the world of mortals". There are brick terraces inside the gate, which can reach the second floor. The above two floors are hollow, and each floor is climbing up with wooden escalators. The tower has 2 to 8 floors, with 1 to 2 windows on each floor, and windows on all sides of the ninth floor. The exterior of the tower is mainly plain, with brick overlapping eaves between each floor and brick carving rafters under the eaves. The top of the tower is shaped like a bowl with a sharp top. Lingshan Temple Pagoda was a relic pagoda when it was first built, and became a temple symbol Pagoda in Jin Dynasty. After the CPC Central Committee settled in Yan'an, this ancient pagoda became a symbol of the revolutionary holy land.
On November 20, 1996, Lingshan Temple Pagoda was listed as the fourth batch of national key cultural relics protection units. It is included in the Yan'an revolutionary site, the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units announced on March 4, 1961.
Wanfo cave grottoes and glazed pagodas in Qingliang mountain
There are four caves in Qingliangshan Wanfo cave, numbered from north to south. Cave No. 1 is the main cave, with an irregular quadrilateral plane. The front is 16.1 meters wide, the back is 17.6 meters wide, the depth is 12.9 meters, the top is uneven, and the height is more than 6 meters. In the middle of the cave, there are carved stone altars and stone screens on both sides. The screen walls are covered with relief statues of Buddha, Bodhisattva, arhat and disciples. The statue on the altar was rebuilt in 1985. Cave 2 is 5 meters wide at the front, 5.7 meters wide at the back, 4.6 meters deep and 4.6 meters high. There are statues of Buddha III, his disciples and arhat. Cave 3 is 6.7 meters wide, 9 meters deep and 4.8 meters high, with Maitreya sitting. The front of Cave 4 is 4 meters wide, the back is 5.9 meters wide, the depth is 5 meters, and the height is 3 meters.
Qingliangshan glass pagoda is located in Qingliangshan, Baota District, Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province. It is a pavilion style, octagonal seven level, 6.25m high and 1.15m in diameter. The body of the tower is solid, built of adobe, reinforced with cypress piles, and built of glazed components. Originally located in Tangjiaping village, Ganguyi Town, it was moved to Qingliang mountain in 1985. According to the TA Ming, the tower was built in 1629, the third year of Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty, and was fired in Fenzhou capital, Shanxi Province. The tower is the only glass tower found in Shaanxi Province. In 1992, it was listed as the third batch of cultural relics protection units in Shaanxi Province.
On May 3, 2013, the Wanfo cave grottoes and glazed pagodas in Qingliang mountain were listed as the seventh batch of national key cultural relics protection units by the State Council.
Yan'an Revolutionary Site
Yan'an revolutionary site is the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units, located in Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province. Yan'an is a famous place of Chinese revolution. From the 26th year of the Republic of China (1937) to the 36th year of the Republic of China (1947), Yan'an has always been the seat of the CPC Central Committee and the capital of the Shaanxi Gansu Ningxia border region, as well as the guidance center and general rear area of the Chinese revolution. The former sites of Yan'an revolution mainly include Fenghuangshan, Yangjialing, Zaoyuan, wangjiaping and other revolutionary sites, as well as Qingliangshan, qiaoergou, Nanniwan and other revolutionary sites.
Former site of Qingliangshan press and publication department
Qingliang mountain is located in the northeast of Yan'an City, with Fenghuang Mountain and Baota Mountain across the Yanhe River. During the Anti Japanese War, Xinhua news agency head office, Yan'an Xinhua radio station, Jiefang Daily, central printing house and other press and publication departments all set up this office. Xinhua news agency is located on the east slope of the mountain. Two rows of stone cave opposite each other are the former sites of Xinhua news agency and Jiefang Daily. The central printing plant is around Wanfo cave on the south hillside, and the printing workshop is in No. 1 cave of Wanfo cave.
