YangGuo town
YangGuo Town, belonging to Linwei District of Weinan City in Shaanxi Province, is located in the south of Linwei District, bordering Qiaonan town in the East, Houzhen town of Lantian County in Xi'an City in the south, Xiaojin street of Lintong District in Xi'an City in the west, sanzhang town in the northwest and Yancun town in the North. The maximum distance between East and West is 8.6 km, and the maximum distance between North and south is 17.5 km, with a total area of 139 square kilometers.
As of June 2020, YangGuo town has one community and 24 administrative villages. As of 2018, YangGuo town had 54710 registered residence population. In 2011, the total agricultural output value of YangGuo town reached 870 million yuan, the total industrial output value reached 480 million yuan, and the total social commodity sales reached 210 million yuan.
Historical evolution
According to legend, during the Ming Dynasty, this place was first inhabited by the surname Yang, and then moved into the surname Guo, so it was named "Yang Guo". After the surname Yang was uninhabited here, Yang was changed to Yang, so it was named YangGuo.
In 553, Lingyuan County ruled the area.
In 574, Lingyuan county was merged into Weinan county.
