Xianggong town
Xianggong Town, belonging to Changwu County, Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the northeast of the county. It is adjacent to Jinghe River in the East, across the river from Beiji town of Binzhou City, bordered on yaergou and Tingkou town in the south, Penggong town in the West and Zhengping town of Zhengning County in Gansu Province in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 10.9 km, and the maximum distance from north to south is 9.1 km, with a total area of 65.46 square kilometers.
As of June 2020, Xianggong town has 17 administrative villages. As of 2018, the registered residence of the town was 24768. In 2011, the total agricultural output value of Xianggong town reached 123 million yuan, and the total retail sales of social consumer goods reached 58.434 million yuan.
Historical evolution
It got its name from Xianggong village, the hometown of Niu Hong, the official Secretary of the Sui Dynasty.
Qin belongs to quail Gu County.
In Tang and Song Dynasties, it belonged to Yilu county.
The Ming and Qing Dynasties belonged to Changwu county.
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it belongs to Jinxian township of Changwu county.
In 1949, Jinxian district was established.
In 1950, it was changed into two districts.
In February 1956, Xianggong township was established.
In 1958, Xianggong commune was established; in December of the same year, it was put under the management of Changwu commune.
In 1961, Xianggong commune was restored.
In May 1984, it was changed into Xianggong township.
In 1998, it was changed into Xianggong town.
In April 2011, taro Yuan Township was merged into Xianggong town.
