Huangbaiyuan Town, belonging to Taibai County, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the south of Taibai county. It is connected with houwanzi Town, Zhouzhi County, Xi'an City in the East, Longcaoping Township, Foping County, Hanzhong City and Huayang Town, Yang County in the south, taibaihe town in the West and zuitou town in the north, with a total area of 852 square kilometers.

Historical evolution

Before May 1953, huangbaiyuan was under the jurisdiction of Yang county.
In June 1953, zaojiaowan village in pingduhe Township, the Fourth District of Yangxian County, and Erlangba in Huayang county were assigned to Taibai District, and Erlangba district was set up, which governs Erlangba, zaojiaowan, and huangbaiyuan townships.
In July 1957, Erlangba Township and huangbaiyuan Township were merged into Erlangba Township, which governs eight villages.
In October 1958, huangbaiyuan and Erlangba townships were assigned to Yangxian county.
In May 1959, it was transferred back to the Taibai commune and set up Erlangba and huangbaiyuan management areas respectively.
In August 1961, Taibai county was established. Erlangba and huangbaiyuan communes were established respectively, with five and three production teams under their jurisdiction.
In May 1984, the two communes were changed into townships at the same time, and the production brigade under their jurisdiction was changed into villages at the same time, with jurisdiction over five and three administrative villages respectively.
In November 2001, Erlangba township was merged into huangbaiyuan Township, and the township government was stationed in huangbaiyuan village. It has jurisdiction over 8 administrative villages and 17 villager groups.
In September 2004, Niuweihe village was merged into Erlangba village, dajiangou village was merged into huangbaiyuan village, which has jurisdiction over 6 administrative villages and 19 villager groups.
In July 2011, huangbaiyuan town was established.
