Zhangjiayuan Town, belonging to Qianyang County, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the north central part of Qianyang County, adjacent to Nanzhai town in the East, Chengguan town in the south, caobi town in the West and Xinji Township, Lingtai County, Gansu Province in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 11.25 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 25.3 kilometers, with a total area of 221.63 square kilometers.
As of June 2020, zhangjiayuan town has 11 administrative villages. As of 2018, Zhangjia yuan had 22033 registered residence population. In 2011, the total agricultural output value of zhangjiayuan town reached 240 million yuan, the total industrial output value reached 34 million yuan, and the total retail sales of social consumer goods reached 20 million yuan.
Historical evolution
It got its name because the surname Zhang of Hongdong County in Shanxi Province moved to this plateau in the Qing Dynasty.
The Ming Dynasty belonged to Jingxin township.
Qing Dynasty belongs to Ren Xiao Li.
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it became Xinxing township.
In July 1949, it was designated SIPO district.
In September 1961, it was changed into wenjiapo commune, with 12 production teams under its jurisdiction.
In May 1984, it was divided into wenjiapo Township and zhangjiayuan Township, with a total of 18 administrative villages under its jurisdiction.
In May 1988, nanwanling township was merged into zhangjiayuan township.
In December 2001, zhangjiayuan township was abolished and zhangjiayuan town was established.
In July 2011, wenjiapo township was merged into zhangjiayuan town.
