Tuoshi town

Tuoshi Town, belonging to Chencang District, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the west of Chencang District, adjacent to Pingtou town in the East, Sancha and dongcha towns in Maiji District, Tianshui City, Gansu Province in the south, fenggeling town in the West and Tiancheng town in Longxian County in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 30.6 km, and the maximum distance from north to south is 12.6 km, with a total area of 303.46 square kilometers.

As of June 2020, Tuoshi town has 12 administrative villages. As of 2018, the registered residence population was 16997. In 2011, the total agricultural output value of Tuoshi town was 66.05 million yuan, the total sales of social commodities was 16.425 million yuan, and the balance of various deposits was 68.44 million yuan.

Historical evolution

Due to the area of nanhetan a huge stone shape like a tower beast, named Tashi, after harmonic named Tuoshi.

In May 1950, Tuoshi Township, Tuoshi District, was established.

In 1958, it was changed into Tuoshi commune, with eight production teams under its jurisdiction.

In April 1959, it was changed into Tuoshi management area of Pingtou commune.

In August 1961, Tuoshi commune was restored, with seven production brigades under its jurisdiction.

In May 1966, it was renamed Red Star commune.

In March 1970, it was renamed Tuoshi commune.

In April 1984, it was changed to township.

In September 1985, Tuoshi town was built, with jurisdiction over seven administrative villages.

In December 2001, Tongdong township was abolished and merged into Tuoshi Town, with jurisdiction over 20 administrative villages.

In October 2005, chinigou village was abolished and merged into Tongdong village; qiuchigou village was abolished and merged into Jiufeng village; aijiashan village was abolished and merged into beishanliang village; Shizi village and xiaochuanhe village were abolished and merged into wujiapo village, with jurisdiction over 15 administrative villages.

In July 2011, the township was removed and the town was merged. Seven villages, majiawan, tiejialing, yangjiachuan, Hudian, Xianlong, Xigou and Donggou, were assigned to Tuoshi town.

In 2002, it has jurisdiction over Tuoshi community, including 20 administrative villages including Tuoshi, Xiaochuan, Lijiawan, getiaoling, qiaoziping, Wangjiapo, huangjiashizi, Tongdong, shijiatan, mengjiayuan, chinigou, gualigou, Jiufeng, qiuchigou, changjiagou, beishanliang, aijiashan, wujiapo, Shizi and xiaochuanhe.

In 2004, 20 administrative villages were merged into 15 administrative villages, and 5 villages including Shizi, xiaochuanhe, qiuchigou, aijiashan and chinigou were abolished.

By the end of 2011, Tuoshi town had 22 administrative villages including Xiaochuan, mengjiayuan, Lijiawan, getiaoling, gualigou, changjiagou, Wangjiapo, majiawan, Donggou, Xigou, tiejialing, Hudian, yangjiachuan, qiaoziping, Jiufeng, Tuoshi, shijiatan, Tongdong, Xianlong, huangjiashizi, beishanliang and wujiapo, with 125 villager groups.

As of June 2020, Tuoshi town has 12 administrative villages. The people's government is stationed in Tuoshi village.

Tuoshi town is located in the west of Chencang District, adjacent to Pingtou town in the East, Sancha town and dongcha town in Maiji District, Tianshui City, Gansu Province in the south, fenggeling town in the West and Tiancheng town in Longxian County in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 30.6 km, and the maximum distance from north to south is 12.6 km, with a total area of 303.46 square kilometers. It is 110km away from Chencang District government.

topographic features

Tuoshi town is located on the North Bank of Weihe River in the hinterland of Longshan, with high terrain in the north and low terrain in the south, and deep mountains and gullies. The highest point is located in xiaohuaerliang, huangjiashizi village, with an altitude of 2073 meters; the lowest point is located in beimazong mountain, Xianlong village, with an altitude of 780 meters.
