Lingkou street, belonging to Lintong District, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the northeast of Lintong city. It is adjacent to Weinan Economic Development Zone in the East, sanzhang town in Linwei District of Weinan City in the southeast, ma'e street in the south, Daiwang street in the southwest, Xinfeng street in the west, hezhai street in the northwest and North, and Liangtian street in Linwei District of Weinan City in the northeast, with a total area of 49.73 square kilometers.

The origin of place names
Lingshui, also known as Lingshui in ancient times, is named for its location at the mouth of the valley of the Linghe river.
History of construction
In the Western Zhou Dynasty, Xiyi was set up near Xihe bridge.
In 386, Xinfeng County moved to the neighborhood of today's Lingkou street. In 487, Yinpan county was set up in Sima village, 6 kilometers southwest of Lingkou.
In 691, Hongzhou was established and Hongmen county was set up. Hongzhou governs Weinan, Qingshan, Liyang and Gaoling counties.
During the song and Yuan Dynasties, a garrison was set up to guard the western capital.
During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, there were three li in Lingshui, tianwangli in the East, guanzhuangli in the Northwest (guanzhuangli in hezhai street of Lintong District) and xihehe in the West.
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), the "cooperative joint insurance office" was set up.
In the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), the "Lingkou Town Office" was set up to govern the two streets of today's Lingkou and hezhai.
In May 1949, Lingkou District of Lintong county was set up, which is located in Lingkou street and has jurisdiction over today's Lingkou and hezhai streets.
In 1956, the district was withdrawn to establish a township (still under the jurisdiction of Lingkou and hezhai), which is under the jurisdiction of Xinfeng Town, Lintong county.
In September 1958, a management area was set up under the jurisdiction of Xinfeng commune. From then on, Lingkou was separated from hezhai.
In April 1961, the administrative area was abolished and a commune was established.
