Shangya Dongxiang

Yadong County, Xigaze City, Tibet Autonomous Region of the people's Republic of China governs the township and three administrative villages, Ganggu, rupinggang and galingang.

famous scenery

Dongga temple and Huangjiao temple in shangyadong township of Yadong county are subordinate temples of zhashlunbu temple, with a history of more than 500 years. It is located on a conch like mountain depression on the west side of shangya Dongxiang hydropower station. "Dongga" means "conch" in Tibetan. The temple contains Mao Zedong's personal letter to the 14th Dalai Lama and copies of the famous 17 agreements on the peaceful liberation of Tibet.
