Hunyuan kiln town
Hunyuanyao Township, a town under the jurisdiction of Fengzhen City, Wulanchabu City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the east of Fengzhen City, adjacent to Zhanggao Town, Xinghe County in the East, Changcheng Town, Yanggao County, Datong City, Shanxi Province in the southeast, heitutai town in the West and Zhanggao Town, Xinghe County in the north, with an administrative area of 299.84 square kilometers.
In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to northeast township; in 1946, it became a liberated area; in February 1984, it was changed to hunyuanyao township. By the end of 2018, 11184 households in Hunyuan Yao Township registered residence. As of June 2020, Hunyuan kiln has jurisdiction over seven administrative villages.
In 2011, the per capita net income of farmers in hunyuanyao township was 5130 yuan. In 2018, hunyuanyao township has 8 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to northeast township.
During the period of the Republic of China, it belonged to the Fifth District.
In 1946, it became a liberated area.
In August 1947, it was a Kuomintang controlled area.
In February 1949, it belonged to seven districts.
After the founding of the people's Republic of China, it still belongs to seven districts.
In 1952, Hunyuan kiln township was established.
In August 1958, it was changed into Hunyuan kiln commune.
In February 1984, it was changed to hunyuanyao township.
In 2001, jiugou township was assigned to hunyuanyao township.
In 2006, Yuanshanzi township was merged into hunyuanyao township.

By the end of 2011, hunyuanyao Township had 16 administrative villages: hunyuanyao, Yuanshanzi, shagouyan, tubuzi, manzhouyao, Xinzhouyao, bayintau, yuxianying, DAZHUANGKE, Dadonggou, qiganliang, laoguanfen, Gaoping, Shizuizi, erdaobian, xishigou, and 133 village groups.
As of June 2020, hunyuanyao village has jurisdiction over seven administrative villages: hunyuanyao village, qiganliang village, Dingping village, laoguanfen village, Shizui village, erdaobian village and xishigou village. The Township People's government is stationed in hunyuanyao village.

History and culture
During the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty (1736-1795), when the land was reclaimed, it got its name because people from Hunyuan, Shanxi Province settled here.
