Haiyuan Town, subordinate to Ningming County, Chongzuo City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is located in the southeast of Chongzuo City and the east of Ningming County. It is connected with Nakan in the East, Nanan in the south, bancuan and Beijiang in the west, and Jiangzhou District in the north. The administrative area of Haiyuan town is 220.34 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, Haiyuan town had a registered residence population of 46400.
In 1733, the 11th year of Yongzheng reign of the Qing Dynasty, situ Prefecture was set up in today's Sizhou, which is subordinate to Taiping Prefecture. In April 1953, sile county was abolished and merged with Zhennan county to establish Ningming County, which belongs to the seventh district of Ningming County. In 1958, Hongguang commune was established. In 1959, Hongguang commune was renamed Haiyuan commune. In 1962, Haiyuan commune was transformed into Haiyuan district. In 1966, Haiyuan district was restored to Haiyuan commune. As of June 2020, Haiyuan town has jurisdiction over 2 communities and 15 administrative villages. The town people's government is located in Xinxi street.

History of construction

There is Mingjiang River in Haiyuan town. From east to west, the river flows through Youfu, sugarcane garden, Shiba, Tuoling, Haiwan, tuodeng, Sizhou, ZhiBei and other villages, running through the whole town for 35 kilometers.
