Lianhuatan Township, belonging to Guyuan County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, is located in the southwest of Guyuan County. It is adjacent to Xiaochang town in the East, Chicheng County in the southeast, Chongli County in the south, Zhangbei County in the west, xixinying Township and xiaohezi Township in the north. In 1948, lianhuatan Township belonged to the third district of Baoyuan County; in 1984, it was changed from lianhuatan commune to lianhuatan township. As of June 2020, lianhuatan township has jurisdiction over 11 administrative villages, and the Township People's government is stationed in lianhuatan village.

History of construction
In 1948, lianhuatan Township belonged to the third district of Baoyuan county.
In 1950, it was assigned to the Fourth District of Guyuan County.
In 1958, it belonged to Yuejin commune.
In 1965, lianhuatan commune was established from Yuejin commune.
In 1984, lianhuatan commune was changed into lianhuatan township.
