Gongxin Township
Gongxin township is a border Township inhabited by Dai, Lahu, WA and Han nationalities. It is 50 kilometers away from Menglian County. Mengma town in the East and south, Fuyan Township in the north, Nayun town in the northeast and Myanmar across the river in the West. It covers an area of 269.19 square kilometers and has a border line of 24.79 kilometers. It mainly grows rubber, tea, sugarcane, rice, corn, fine watermelon, peanut, soybean, potato, etc. its leading industries are rubber, tea, sugarcane and animal husbandry. It plans to develop tourism and sericulture.
climatic conditions

Gongxin township is named after Gongxin Township, where the original township office is located. "Gongxin" is the translation of Dai language "Guangshe" as "leopard mountain".
