Lianzhu town is located in Mojiang Hani Autonomous County, Pu'er City, Yunnan Province. It is the seat of Mojiang County Party committee and government. It is the political, economic, cultural, scientific and Technological Development Center of the county. National Highway 213 and provincial highway 0538 pass through the town. It borders Longba Township and Yuanjiang County in the East, Yayi Township in the south, Tongguan town and Jingxing Township across the river in the west, Xin'an Township and yangchajie Township in Yuanjiang County in the north. The altitude is 680-2278m, and the altitude of the government residence is 1282m, which is a typical three-dimensional climate. Evolution of organizational system
Originally named Jiulian town and Talang village, it was the residence of gongshun Prefecture after 1533, and Talang hall was set up in 1732. At the beginning of the Republic of China, Lianzhu town was set up. In 1932, it belonged to the first district of Mojiang County. In 1954, Lianzhu district was abolished and its jurisdiction was divided into Bixi District, Lianyi district and Jiulian town. In January 1997, with the approval of Yunnan Provincial People's government, Jiulian town and Lianhe township of Mojiang County were abolished and Lianzhu town was merged.
