Town name tracing

The rich history and culture has injected new vitality into today's economic development and opening up of Gaocang. There is a folk legend in Gaocang that "the ancient city of Tang Gaian was built in Han Dynasty, wangba was built in Yuan Dynasty, Cang was built in Ming Dynasty, and the Prime Minister of Nanming Dynasty was cleared out". As early as the Han Dynasty, Gaocang was already a famous village in Yuxi at that time. It was named "nangucheng", also known as "changrencheng". It was the earliest ancient city pool to build and settle down. By the Yuan Dynasty, ganmala, the "king of Liang", was the earliest water conservancy project in Yuxi. In the Ming Dynasty, the scale of the ancient city expanded to "big ancient city" and "small ancient city". The whole ancient city was in the shape of "Hui". Because the garrison built warehouses here to accumulate grain, and most people with the surname of Gao at that time, it was renamed "Gaocang ancient city". It was still used until the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and then it was renamed Gaocang. Gaocang is the only way of "tea horse ancient road" in Yunnan history. Located in today's 16 villager group of Gaocang village, the "Longjia courtyard", also known as the "Longjia Dawujian", was once the site of historical footprints on the "ancient tea horse road" in Yinan. According to textual research, this is the only foothold of the "ancient tea horse road" passing through Hongta District. The existing houses are civil structure buildings in the late Qing Dynasty, and all kinds of carvings reflect the style of the horse gang of that year. Gaocang is also a place of outstanding talents. From the Ming Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, although Gaocang was a small village on the edge of Yunnan, with no more than a thousand people, it created "one prime minister, two generals, four Jinshi, two prefectures, eight shows and twelve plaques, where civil servants had to get off the sedan chair and military officials had to get off the horse". Among the celebrities in the past dynasties, the most famous is Lei Yaolong in the late Ming Dynasty. Lei Yaolong was born in 1602. He was born in Gaocang village with the name of Bolin and the name of Shi'an. He was talented in poetry and good at calligraphy. He was honored as "Lei Guolao" by the local people. At the age of 17, he passed the imperial examination and was elected to the Hanlin Academy. He was highly regarded by Emperor Chongzhen and promoted to the Ministry of rites. In his later years, he followed emperor Yongli of the "Southern Ming Dynasty" and was granted the Bachelor of Hanlin Academy (equivalent to the position of prime minister). He had the title of "the highest official in Yunnan history" Therefore, Takakura also has the saying of "prime minister's hometown".
