Rende Street
Rende street is the political, economic and cultural center of XUNDIAN Hui and Yi Autonomous County, Kunming City, Yunnan Province, and the leading and demonstration of county economic development. Since 2009, Rende, Tangzi and Jinsuo were merged into Rende town by township institutional reform, and Rende town was set up in April 2011, economic and social development has been rapid. By the end of 2015, the total output value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery was 612 million yuan, the local public budget revenue was 195 million yuan, and the per capita net income of rural permanent residents was 4919 yuan. Rende Street governs 7 communities and 3 administrative villages, covering an area of 131.29 square kilometers.
Historical evolution
Name traceability
The original place name of Rende town is still used, because it was named as rendibu (Yijun in ancient times) in the first year of Tianfu (936) in the later Jin Dynasty, as Rendi wanhufu in the third year of Baoyou (1255) in the Southern Song Dynasty, as Rende Fu in the 13th year of the Yuan Dynasty (1276). In 1913, it was set up, and the name of the town is based on the name of the house in the Yuan Dynasty.
Evolution of organizational system
Xuanhuali was named in Ming Dynasty and diantouli in Qing Dynasty.
In 1913, Xundian County set up Rende town.
In 1949, Rende town belonged to the Second District of Rende and was renamed Rende township.
In 1952, Xundian County set up the Second District of Xundian and Jinfa township.
In 1955, Jinfa township was renamed Jinhua township.
In 1958, the Second District of Xundian was divided into rocket commune and Jianshe commune; Jinhua Township belonged to Yangjie storm commune; Rende township was transformed into Rende Management District, belonging to rocket commune.
In 1959, Jinsuo commune was changed into Jianshe commune.
In 1961, Rende district was set up, and Xundian county area was Rende brigade.
In 1963, the name of Rende management area was renamed as Rende town.
In 1966, Rende town was renamed as Hongqi Town, and Rende district was renamed as a commune.
In 1971, Jianshe commune was renamed Chengguan commune, and Hongqi Town was incorporated into Chengguan commune.
In 1981, Chengguan commune was divided into Tangzi commune and Rende Town, and Tangzi district was established in 1984.
In 1984, Chengguan commune was transformed into Chengguan District and Jinshuo District, and Tangzi commune was transformed into Tangzi district.
In 1988, Chengguan District was removed and township was set up; Jinshuo district and Tangzi district were transformed into Jinshuo Township and Tangzi town respectively.
In February 2006, Chengguan Township was merged into Rende town.
In November 2009, Tangzi town and Jinshuo Township were merged into Rende town.
In April 2011, Rende town set up a sub district office.
In January 2017, Rende street was divided into Rende street, Tangzi street and Jinshuo street.

In 1997, Rende Town, with an area of 11.9 square kilometers and a population of 16000, governed three administrative villages of nanzhong, Xuefu and Dongfa; Tangzi Town, with an area of 155.9 square kilometers and a population of 27000, governed eight administrative villages of Yunji, Tuanjie, Tangzi, Yilong, sanzhilong, Zhongling, Bazhe and Maichang; Jinsuo Township, with an area of 272 square kilometers and a population of 32000, governed Jinsuo, Zezhi, Zhugou, zhangsuo, DUOGU There are 10 administrative villages in Tiansheng, Haizi, Baizai, Qinghai and Xintian.
In 2006, Rende town has jurisdiction over Xuefu, nanzhong and Dongfa community neighborhood committees. The former Chengguan Township covers an area of 124.3 square kilometers and has a population of 30000. It has jurisdiction over six administrative villages, namely Jianshe, Shengli, Heping, Beiguan, Zhongqiao and Daoyuan. Tangzi town covers an area of 151.95 square kilometers and has a population of 29400. It has jurisdiction over eight administrative villages, namely Yunji, Tuanjie, Tangzi, Maichang, Yilong, Zhongling, sanzhilong and Bazhe It covers an area of 283.34 square kilometers and has a population of 34800. It has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages, including Jinshuo, zetie, Zhugou, zhangsuo, xiaoduogu, Tiansheng, caohaizi, Baizai, Qinghai and Xintian.
In 2016, Rende street was 566.81 square kilometers, with a population of 138469. It has jurisdiction over 7 community neighborhood committees, 21 village committees, and a total of 235 natural villages.
