Yangping town
Yangping town is located in the east of Yuanxian County, a famous national historical and cultural town, 75 kilometers, 108 ° 45 ′ - 108 ° 53 ′, 27 ° 01 ′ - 27 ° 11 ′, covering an area of 103.7 square kilometers. It is located in the junction of Hunan and Guizhou provinces, bordering on Xindian township of Yuping Dong Autonomous County in the East, Liangsan town and Chaping township of Xinhuang Dong Autonomous County in Hunan Province in the southeast, Xuedong Town, Changji town and Bagong town of Sansui County in the south, Qingxi Town in the west, and new County of cengong County in the north The villages of Pingyang and Guankou are under the jurisdiction of Qingxi Town. Yangping is divided into two parts: Yangping in the East and Zhuping in the West.
Topography and climate
Yangping landform in the East is irregular rectangular shape; Zhuping landform in the west is slightly triangular, high in the West and low in the East, with many dam areas and hills in the East and mountainous areas in the West. Except yunpan village which belongs to Qingshui River system, the other 21 villages belong to Wuyang river system. Wuyang river flows from west to East, with a bowl of water at the lowest altitude of 354 meters and a crossing building at the highest altitude of 989 meters. Most of the areas are located in the middle and low mountains, hills and dam areas between 370 and 520 meters above sea level. The terrain is flat and open with mild climate and abundant rainfall. There is no severe cold in winter and no severe heat in summer. The town is located in the subtropical monsoon warm climate zone with four distinct seasons, with an average annual rainfall of 1110 mm, an average annual temperature of 16.8 ℃, and a frost free period of 305 days.
Traffic conditions
Yangping has excellent traffic conditions. Zhuzhou Liupanshui double track railway, national highway 320, highway 65, Wuyang River and Jiangtai second-class highway run through the East and West. Yangping Shiqian highway and the planned Yangping Liangsan highway intersect with national highway 320 and Jiangtai highway, forming a main traffic framework of "one horizontal and four vertical", forming a rare traffic hub. In addition to the new cengong County on the opposite bank, the six bridges are connected across the river, which really adds wings to the tiger, bringing its edge effect, window effect and radiation effect into full play. Historical evolution
Yangping, formerly a large lawn in history, has a stone in it, which looks like a goat, so it is named after it. In the Warring States period, Yangping belonged to Chu state, Qianzhong County, Wuling county from Han to Jin Dynasty, Jingzhou; in Tang Dynasty, it belonged to Eshan county (now cengong), Weixi County (now Yuping), Zhenyuan County (now Zhenyuan), Sizhou and Qianzhou respectively. Under the jurisdiction of Tian chieftain in Sizhou, it is subordinate to Zhenyuan military and civilian general office, belonging to Huguang province. Ming Dynasty belongs to the Xuanwei Department of Sizhou and the Huguang capital department. After the establishment of qinglangwei in April 1390, it was under the jurisdiction of qinglangwei. Yongle 11 years (1413) to establish Guizhou Province, Yangping is still a Sizhou Prefecture, under the Department of Guizhou political history. Ming Wanli 31 years (1603) and Li Huguang division. Until the fifth year of Yongzheng (1727) of Qing Dynasty, Guizhou was restored. In the spring of 1914, Yangping was put under the jurisdiction of Qingxi county from Si county (now cengong); in 1941, Qingxi county was abolished and merged into Zhenyuan County, and Yangping was under the jurisdiction of Zhenyuan County. Before the Ming Dynasty, there were 100 Tusi households in Yangping, including Longtang tuhu, tianshuiping tuhu and Zhuping tuhu. From the third year of Xianfeng (1853) of the Qing Dynasty to the beginning of the Republic of China, there were still groups in Longtang and Zhuping (equivalent to township level). From the third year of the Republic of China (1914), Qingxi county set up districts in Yangping and Zhuping respectively (called Eastern District and Southern District). In the 21st year of the Republic of China, there were two districts in Yangping and Zhuping In 1932, Yangping town and Zhuping Township were established; in 1941, Yangping Township and Zhuping Township were established. Yangping Township, Longtang Township and Zhuping Township were set up in 1953; Yangping and Longtang were merged into Yangping Township in 1956. In 1958, Yangping, Longtang and Zhuping management work areas were set up under the jurisdiction of Qingxi people's commune; in 1961, Yangping and Zhuping people's commune management committees were set up respectively; in 1984, they were changed into Yangping town and Zhuping Township, which were under the jurisdiction of Qingxi District of Zhenyuan County. After the district was withdrawn and the township was built in 1992, the original Yangping town and Zhuping Township were merged to establish Yangping Town, which has been stationed in Yangping ever since.

Yangping is a famous historical and cultural city of Zhenyuan. It has a well preserved ancient architecture "Xianren bridge" in the Warring States period. It also has the ancient battlefield ruins of Tianchen and tianzongding, the two prefectures of Sizhou (cengong) and Sinan (Zhenyuan), who promoted the establishment of Guizhou Province in the Yongle period of the early Ming Dynasty, The bone Tomb of Su Yuanchun, a patriotic general who died in Xinjiang and was transported back to sujiapo in Yangping for burial, is a deeply moving historical textbook for resisting foreign aggression, revitalizing China and carrying out patriotic education, as well as the well preserved former residence of Tang Duan (also known as Tang Zhengda), a Kuomintang general in Taiwan. Yangping town governs 10 central administrative villages (22 natural villages), a neighborhood committee and 189 villager groups, which are composed of Yangping and Zhuping. Yangping has fertile land and rich products. It is rich in rice, corn, soybean, potato, peanut, rapeseed, flue-cured tobacco, watermelon and other food crops and cash crops. Peanut is the specialty of Yangping. Livestock and poultry resources include pig, cattle, sheep, chicken, duck, goose, rabbit and so on. Xiaoxiang sheep, xiaohuangniu and Xiaowuji are the three local livestock and poultry specialties with delicate and delicious meat. By the end of 2003, the total grain output of the town was 6322 tons, and the per capita net income of farmers was 1512 yuan. The total revenue increased from 385000 yuan in 1992 to 2.06 million yuan. The forest area of Yangping town has increased from 49361 mu in 1992 to 81648 Mu now, and the forest coverage rate has increased from 31.6% to 52.3%. The industrial development of Yangping town is advancing by leaps and bounds. Before the 1970s, in addition to the traditional hand-made paper industry and grain and oil processing industry of farmers, the industry was still a blank. After entering the 1970s, it began to build timber yard, smelter, machine brick factory, sugar factory and so on. After the establishment of the Development Zone, it started to set up Yangping iron factory, woven bag factory, carton factory, brown fiber factory, xianenqiao paper factory, Fujian Branch Xinghong brick factory and other enterprises, especially after entering the new century, Zhenyuan built Qiandong industrial park between Yangping and Qingxi, and more than ten enterprises, such as Qiandong smelter, Runda smelter and menbeitan power station, settled in Yangping. The national investment of 7.5 billion in Forest Pulp paper integration project has passed the evaluation, and it has been built in Taiping Village in Yangping town. Yangping town is located in Zhenyuan County, which is a large ten thousand people market.
