Liangting'ao township was established in 1956, liangting'ao commune was established in 1958, and it was merged into huangjin'ao commune in the same year. Liangting'ao commune was restored in 1961, and liangting'ao township was renamed in 1984. It has jurisdiction over eight administrative villages, including haocaiping, dengjiachong, luojiaxi, yinjialing, caojiapo, yangdiping, Dazhulin and Yangtan, with 103 villager groups and 16759 people (2017). Liangting'ao township has unique natural and resource advantages. It used to be dominated by traditional agriculture and breeding. The township regards the rural infrastructure construction as an important means to develop the secondary and tertiary industries, optimize the economic environment, prosper the rural logistics, activate the rural economy, and promote the increase of farmers' income. The completed construction projects are caojiapo village, luojiaxi village, yangdiping village and yinjialing village, with a total length of 15.2km Village Road, the construction of town sanitation facilities, and the renewal of township power station equipment. The total investment in the construction of Tongxiang Road, passenger transport farm market, zhulinhu bridge and dengjiachong village tongcun road project is 11 million yuan, and the actual investment has reached more than 6 million yuan.
