Xiashan town

Xiashan town is located 27 kilometers north of Xingren City, which was once called "Wulong Xiashan". It borders on Angu and zima towns in Qinglong County, adjacent to Xingren Minjian Township, Silian Township and Panjia town. The town has developed water system and rich forest resources. The variety of economic crops is diverse, and the civilization construction is developing coordinately.

In September 2018, Xiashan town was selected into the demonstration construction list of strong agricultural towns.

Xiashan town is located in the north of Xingren City, 27 kilometers away from the urban area, historically known as "Wulong Xiashan"; it borders on Angu, zima and other towns in Qinglong County; it is adjacent to Minjian Township, Chengbei Town, panjiazhuang town and other towns in the urban area. The land area is 162.69 square kilometers, and the registered cultivated land area is 25000 mu, including 11400 mu of paddy field and 13600 mu of dry land. The annual average temperature is 15.2 ℃, the annual average rainfall is 1400mm, and the average altitude is 1450m, which belongs to subtropical humid climate.

Economic overview

The main food crops in the town are rice, corn and wheat; the main economic crops are flue-cured tobacco, Yiren rice, rape, pepper, tea, soybean, Canna edulis, peanut, walnut, chestnut, citrus, etc. Among them, flue-cured tobacco and Yiren rice are the main pillar industries in the town.

There are two main rivers in the town, one originates from changtoumaoqing, flows through Maoping, mayuchong, dianmutuanpo, shagedashan and villagers dig wells to flow into Masha River; the other originates from machaoqing, Zhachong, flows through gaowu, crosses Hengdong River to manaitun haiziba, falls into underground river, exposes at Tuanjie flood dam in panjiazhuang Town, flows into Nanchong River and then enters Masha river. In addition, kushengqing, Minzu, Maoping rhinoceros cave, gaowu Xiaojing, taojialongjing and other groundwater resources are ideal drinking water. The forest coverage rate of the whole town reached 39.68%. With an area of 63000 mu, there are 5 town level forest farms. The firewood forest is mainly composed of pine and shrub, and the timber forest is mainly composed of Cunninghamia lanceolata, autumn tree and Paulownia. It is the second largest forestry town in the county. It plays a great role in soil and water conservation, climate regulation and ecological environment improvement. Good location and transportation advantages and increasingly perfect infrastructure construction have laid a solid foundation for the economic and social development of Xiashan town. Baiyou road of provincial highway 215sha (Qinglong Shaziling) Badu (Guangxi Badu) runs across the town for 20 kilometers. It is an important channel from Qinglong to Xingren city. The Northwest Economic Circle of Xingren city and "Shaba line" meet at gaowu in the town, forming an important transportation hub. The town has formed a "North-South vertical East-West eight horizontal" village highway network. More than 90% of the villages are connected with tap water, and 50% of the villages are connected with program-controlled telephone. China mobile communication and China Unicom communication have covered the whole town. Multi function activity rooms have been built in every village. The town is a commercial material distribution center at the junction of Xingren city and Qinglong County.

Development status
