Mengxi is located at the east foot of Fanjing Mountain and in the middle of Songtao Miao Autonomous County. It was once one of the five major market towns in the east of ancient Guizhou. With a history of nearly 900 years, it is known as "Fanjing city" and "old cultural area". The town is adjacent to dapingchang town and miaoai Township in the East, Wuluo town in the west, Zhaiying Town, pujue town and Pingtou town in the South and Dalu town in the north.
