Changping township of Qinyang City is located in the Taihang Mountains in the north of Henan Province. It is close to Zezhou County of Jincheng in the north, North China Plain in the South and Danhe River in the East. It is the north gate of Henan Province to open to the outside world. Historical evolution
Township government in Changping village, hence the name. Qing Dynasty belongs to Lishang township. It was the Fourth District in 1935 and the Second District in 1934. The next year, it was set up in changpingshan district. Changping commune was reorganized in 1958 and later merged into Xiwan commune. Changping commune was established in 1961.
