Maoshi town

Maoshi Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Tongzi County, Zunyi City, Guizhou Province, is located in the southeast of Tongzi County, bordering kuankuo town and jianba town of Suiyang County in the East, Banqiao Town of Huichuan District in the south, Loushanguan town in the west, Mazong Miao Township and Chumi town in the North, with an administrative area of 137.52 square kilometers.

By the end of 2018, 18031 households had registered residence in Maichi town. As of October 2019, Maoshi town has one community and seven administrative villages.

In 2011, the total financial revenue of Maoshi town was 23 million yuan, an increase of 21.1% over the previous year. The per capita net income of farmers is 5350 yuan. In 2018, there were 5 industrial enterprises in Maoshi Town, including 2 above scale enterprises and 19 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

History of construction

In 1663, Maoshi, Loushan, Liaoyuan and Zhoushi belonged to Toshiba. In 1908, there were seven districts in the county, of which Maoshi was the first.

From 1941 to 1949, Xinqiao township (then called heishen Township and Xicheng township) and Hongyuan township (including Maoshi township) were both directly under the central government.

In June 1950, heishen township (Xinqiao township) and Hongyuan township (including Maoba) were divided into the Second District of the county's 11 districts, with the District Office in Ma'anshan.

In 1954, Maoba township was renamed Maoshi township.

In July 1992, the two townships of Maoshi and Xinqiao merged into a new Maoshi township.

In 2012, Maoshi township was built from township.

Three kilometers away from the scenic spot are Xinqiao reservoir and Tianmen reservoir, and Zhou Xicheng's former residence is nearby.
