Qixingtai town is subordinate to Zhijiang City, Hubei Province. It is located between 111 ° 51 '- 112 ° 02' e and 30 ° 16 '- 30 ° 21' n. It is located in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River and the west edge of Jianghan Plain. Facing the ancient city of Jingzhou (Juzhang River), it is the east gate of Yichang, a famous hydropower tourism city. Historical evolution
Qixingtai town has a long history. It is said that at the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, seven scholars went to the examination together on the same boat. Suddenly, they encountered a strong wind and took refuge on a high platform by the river. Later, it is said that these seven scholars are "seven stars coming down to earth", so they are named "Seven Star platform".
Qixingtai town gradually rose after the founding of the people's Republic of China. It was listed as a township town in 1981 and merged with Qixingtai District into a county town in December 1987.
