Jieguan town

Jie Guan Town, belonging to Wuqiang County, Hengshui City, Hebei Province, is located in the southwest of Wuqiang County, east of Zhou Wu Town, South to Wuyi County, West Shenzhou City, north to Sun Zhuang Township, with an area of 75.33 square kilometers, and as of 2018, the registered residence population is 32495.

In 955, Wuqiang county government moved to Jieguan. In November 1949, it was a district of Wuqiang county. In 1953, Jieguan township was established, belonging to a district. In January 1984, it was changed into Jieguan township; in September of the same year, it was changed into Wuqiang town. In January 1996, daguozhuang Township and Liuguan Township were merged and renamed Jieguan town. As of June 2020, Jieguan town has jurisdiction over 8 communities and 46 administrative villages.

In 2018, there were 125 industrial enterprises in Jieguan Town, including 6 large-scale enterprises and 49 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Historical evolution

In 955, Wuqiang county government moved to Jieguan.

In 1951, the people's Government of Wuqiang County moved from Jieguan to Xiaofan.

In 1953, Jieguan township was established, belonging to a district.

In September 1958, it belonged to the management area of Jieguan of Hongqi commune.

In May 1961, it was transformed into Jieguan commune.

In January 1984, it was changed into Jieguan township; in September of the same year, it was changed into Wuqiang town.
