Podu Town, belonging to Tongzi County, Zunyi City, Guizhou Province, is located in the north of Tongzi County. It is adjacent to Yangdeng town in the East, papaya town in the south, Ganshui town in Qijiang District of Chongqing City in the West and Qingnian town in Qijiang District of Chongqing City in the north, with an administrative area of 112.25 square kilometers.
By the end of 2018, the population of podo town registered residence was 25146. As of October 2019, Podu town has one community and six administrative villages.
In 2011, the total financial revenue of Podu town was 2.08 million yuan, an increase of 14% over the previous year. The per capita net income of farmers is 4270 yuan. History of construction
In Ming and Qing Dynasties, it belonged to Bajia of louhuali.
During the period of the Republic of China, it belonged to Huilong township of Xinglong district.
From 1950 to 1984, it belonged to Podu Township, Yangdeng district.
In July 1992, Podu, Linzi (part) and Tongyuan were merged into Podu town.
