Anhui Dangtu economic development zone was founded on May 18, 2002 and upgraded to provincial Development Zone in May 2006. Dangtu economic development zone is located in Dangtu County, Ma'anshan City, on the South Bank of the lower reaches of the Wanjiang river. It is between Nanjing, Ma'anshan and Wuhu. It is a provincial Economic Development Zone officially approved by Anhui Provincial People's Government in May 2006, formerly known as Dangtu Industrial Park.
