Zuolan Township
Zuolan Township, belonging to Chengkou County of Chongqing, is located in the northwest of Chengkou county. It borders Gaonan town of Chengkou county and Jieling town of Ziyang County of Shaanxi Province in the East, Bashan town in the south, Zhongting town and Dazhu town of Wanyuan city in the west, and Miaozi town of Wanyuan city in the north. It is 43 kilometers away from the residence of Chengkou county government, with a total area of 80.09 square kilometers.
During the reign of Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty, zuolan township was under the category of nine guarantees and five top in Taiping hall; in 1984, it was changed from zuolan commune to zuolan township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Zuo LAN township was 7550. As of June 2020, zuolan has jurisdiction over six administrative villages, and the Township People's government is located in Daba village.

History of construction
During the reign of Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Taiping hall.
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it belonged to the Rangao Township regiment of the western district. In the 24th year of the Republic of China (1935), it belonged to the three districts of Rangao united insurance. In 1940, it was under the jurisdiction of PingGao township. In 1941, it belonged to Rangao township. In 1947, it belonged to Renhe township.
In 1953, Renhe township was divided into Zuoxiang township.
In 1954, Zuoxiang was divided into three townships: zuoan, zuolan and Huangbai.
In 1956, zuolan, zuolan and Huangbai became zuolan township.
In 1958, zuolan township was changed into zuolan commune.
In 1961, zuolan commune established Houyu commune.
In 1984, zuolan commune and Houyu commune were changed to zuolan Township and Houyu Township respectively.
In September 2004, Houyu township was merged into zuolan township.
