Mianning County is located in the north end, is the north gate of Liangshan Prefecture, and Ya'an City Shimian County border. The altitude ranges from 2100 m to 3500 M. the climate is relatively bad with strong wind, low temperature and little sunshine. It covers an area of 263.2 square kilometers.

General situation

The population is 3340, with the Yi people accounting for 98%. 108 National highway runs through the whole territory, and the township government is 48 kilometers away from the county in the south. It has jurisdiction over tuowu, Sangu, huangjiaba and Luba administrative villages, with a cultivated area of 9485 mu. The main agricultural products are potatoes, buckwheat and oats, rich in prickly ash. The grassland is wide and luxuriant, sheep, cattle and other livestock are fed more, the total grain output is 1.902 million kg, and the total agricultural output value is 15.412 million yuan. There are dense forests in the area, with large reserves of fir, spruce and birch.

National Highway 108 runs through the whole Township, with convenient transportation. The main crops in the township are potatoes, corn and buckwheat seeds. The economic crops are fruits such as prickly ash and plum. There are precious Chinese herbal medicines such as Fritillaria, Cordyceps and a variety of national protected animals. Yi people have always been used to raising cattle, sheep and other livestock, and animal husbandry accounts for a large proportion in the economy. In recent years, under the leadership of the township party committee, tuowu township government has actively attracted investment and tried every means to improve people's lives. Five hydropower stations have been built and four are under construction.
