Rongan township is under the jurisdiction of ABA County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Rongan township is located in the south of the county, on the West Bank of the downstream of aqu River, 42 kilometers away from the county government. It covers an area of 1004.45 square kilometers and has a population of 3085 (2017). A (Rong) (an) highway passes through the territory. It has jurisdiction over six village committees, namely, anba, asjiu, Mongolia, zhiga, Sharga and geldengma.
Rong'an township is located in the southeast border of ABA County, which is at the junction of Sichuan, Tibet and Qinghai provinces. It is 90 kilometers away from the county seat. It belongs to the plateau gorge and belongs to the poverty-stricken area with half agriculture and half animal husbandry. It is the most remote and backward Township in ABA county. There are 6 administrative villages with a total population of 3085 (2017). Inconvenient transportation, poor living conditions, low cultural level and poor farming and animal husbandry technology have seriously restricted the development of economy and education.
Historical evolution
In 1959, Rongan township was established; in 1975, the commune was changed; in 1984, the township was restored.
economic development
Highland barley is the main agricultural product in Rongan Township, and animal husbandry and forestry account for a certain proportion. The territory is rich in forest resources, producing Fritillaria, astragalus, rhubarb and other wild medicinal materials.
cultural education
There are 113 students and 203 primary school students in Wusuo village in Rongan central school. Generally speaking, the construction of school buildings and equipment is backward, and the teaching work of teachers and students are very poor. Under such conditions, there is no standard and high-quality Library in Rongan central school. However, all teachers try their best to collect some books and actively transform students' extracurricular reading conditions. However, the number and content of books are far from meeting the needs of students. So the principal of the school promised: "as long as there is a book donation from the overseas China Education Foundation, we will try our best to manage and make good use of it, so that the students in these mountainous areas can get more knowledge.".
