Fucheng Street

Fucheng street, located in the north of Luoding City, Guangdong Province, is named because it is close to Luocheng street. It is adjacent to Luocheng street in the south, Shuangdong street and Qibin town in the East and West, and Yunan County and Cenxi city in the north. It is located in the transition zone between Luoding red basin and Yunkai mountain. Most of it belongs to hilly area. The annual average temperature is 22 ℃, the annual average precipitation is 1400mm, and the frost free period is 345 days. Qibin river passes through the city, and most of the farmland is irrigated by the water diversion project.

It has jurisdiction over 23 villages (communities) including Pingxi, pingwan and Xinle, with a total area of 192.30 square kilometers. Fuchengweiwei town covers an area of 4.2 square kilometers, with a total population of 52001 people (2010).

Historical evolution

After the fifth year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1577), it belonged to Xining county. During the period of the Republic of China, it belonged to the Sixth District of Xining county (later renamed as Yunan County). After the founding of the people's Republic of China, it belongs to Yubin District of Yunan County. In November 1958, she was assigned to Luoding along with Luoding and Yunan counties, belonging to Jubin commune. In November 1961, she was separated from Yibin commune and established Rongfeng commune. In February 1963, Rongfeng commune was abolished, and Fucheng commune was formed by merging the former Shuangdong commune with most of Rongfeng commune, and Luocheng suburb Brigade (Shuangdong commune was reestablished in February 1964). in August 1983, the commune was abolished and the attached urban area was established. In November 1986, the district was removed and the town was built and renamed Wenta town. In April 1988, four villages under the jurisdiction of Wenta Town, including Quwu, Ganyuan, Shiwei and Xikeng, were assigned to Luocheng town. In the same year, Wenta town planned to build a new town government station. In 1992, Wenta town government moved from Pingxi village to Tajiao village. in October 1993, the name of the town was given. in October 2003, Xinle town was merged into affiliated towns.
