Gaowan town
Gaowan Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Jingyuan County, Baiyin City, Gansu Province, is located in the southeast of Jingyuan County, adjacent to farming and Fuxing township of Pingchuan District in the East, tugao township of Huining County in the south, Dalu Township and Wulan town in the West and Gonghe town of Pingchuan District in the north, with a total administrative area of 569.11 square kilometers.
In 1958, Gaowan commune was established; in 1983, it was changed into Gaowan township. In August 2016, Gaowan township was removed from the township and built into a town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in Gao Wan Town was 27192. In June 2020, Gaowan town governs 12 administrative villages.
In 2011, the per capita net income of farmers in Gaowan town was 3280 yuan. In 2018, Gaowan town has 9 industrial enterprises and 20 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it belonged to Dalu Township Office.
In 1958, Gaowan commune was established.
In 1963, it was divided into two small communes, sanchangyuan and Gaowan, which belonged to dalachi district office.
In 1968, it was merged into Gaowan commune.
In 1983, it was changed to Gaowan township.
In August 2016, Gaowan township was removed from the township and built into a town.
