Dongfu Street

It is a street under the jurisdiction of Haicang District of Xiamen city. Dongfu street is located in the northwest of Haicang District, Xiamen City, covering an area of 84.4 square kilometers. It governs 9 villages and 4 neighborhood committees including Tianzhu community, guoban community and Zhendai village, with a permanent resident population of about 63600.

In 2013, the output value, total revenue and town level revenue of industries above designated size were 22.37 billion yuan, 410 million yuan and 90 million yuan respectively. After the establishment of the street, the status of the street as a political, economic and cultural center will be more prominent, and the urban functional positioning of scientific research, culture and education, health, commerce, finance and transportation will be more clear, forming a stronger joint force of urban development.

Dongfu street is "the third batch of development and reform pilot towns in China", "the second batch of small town comprehensive pilot reform units in Fujian Province", "top ten ecological towns in Fujian Province", "science and technology demonstration towns in Fujian Province" and "provincial civilized towns".

Evolution of organizational system

From Song Dynasty to August 1956, it was under the jurisdiction of Tong'an county.

In May 1957, Guankou District of Tong'an county was put under the jurisdiction of Xiamen suburb (later called Jimei District).

In 1958, Dongfu commune was established.

In 1984, the village was changed.

In December 1991, Dongfu township was abolished and Dongfu town was established.

In January 1996, Dongfu town of Jimei District was put under the jurisdiction of Xinglin district.

In 1997, with an area of 46.7 square kilometers and a population of 30000, it has jurisdiction over 13 village committees in Dongpu, shanbian, zhaihou, guoban, Dongyao, Dingmei, Houke, Xianglu, Yunwei, Fengshan, Zhendai, Lianhua and Hongtang.

In 2002, Xianglu village came under the jurisdiction of Haicang town.

In October 2003, Dongfu town of Xinglin district was put under the jurisdiction of Haicang District.

From May 20, 2011, Tianzhu community neighborhood committee was officially established.

From March 6, 2015, after the study of Xiamen Municipal People's government and the approval of Fujian Provincial People's government, Haicang District was approved to cancel Dongfu town and set up Dongfu sub district office.

Since March 10, 2015, Xiamen Municipal People's government has given instructions to Haicang District to cancel Dongfu town and set up Dongfu sub district office, with the former administrative area of Dongfu town as the administrative area of Dongfu sub district office. After the revocation of Dongfu town and the establishment of Dongfu sub district office in Haicang District, Dongfu sub district office has added three new communities. The shanbian village committee, zhaihou village committee and Dongpu village committee in Dongfu have been abolished, and the shanbian community residents committee, zhaihou community residents committee and Dongpu community residents committee have been established. So far, Dongfu street has five communities, namely Tianzhu community, guoban community, Dongpu community, shanbian community and zhaihou community, and eight administrative villages, namely Dongyao village, Dingmei village, Houke village, Yunwei village, Fengshan village, Zhendai village, Lianhua village and Hongtang village.

geographical environment

Dongfu street is located in the northwest of Haicang District, Xiamen city. It is known as the west gate of Xiamen. Yingxia railway, 324 National Highway, Xiamen (gate) and Zhangzhou (Zhou) Expressway pass through. It is the core area of the golden triangle in Southern Fujian. It is about 40 km away from Zhangzhou City in the West and 18 km away from Xiamen City in the East. It is called the "west gate" of Xiamen. It is adjacent to jiaomei Town, Longhai City, Zhangzhou City in the west, Guankou Town, Jimei District in the East, Xinyang street, Haicang District in the South and Changtai County, Zhangzhou City in the north. With Qinglong ancient village and other cultural and natural landscapes, it was listed as an important transformation town of "beautiful Xiamen" strategy in 2014.

Dongfu Street topography: Dongfu is surrounded by mountains on three sides and faces the sea in the southeast. The territory is mostly hilly.

The climate belongs to subtropical marine monsoon climate, with an average annual temperature of 21 ℃, annual sunshine of 2200 hours, annual rainfall of 1350-1500 mm, abundant light resources and evergreen trees.

There are 6 reservoirs, 4 streams and 9 drainage ditches in the town.

Tangan hot spring is rich in mineral resources and other natural resources. Since the Ming Dynasty, Tangan hot spring has been well-known and is the great wealth of Dongfu.

The main natural disasters are typhoon, drought and flood.

Name and origin

In 1944, Tongan county was re zoned, and the township protection was integrated. Zhongfubao and dongbanbao were named "Dongfu" respectively. The name "Dongfu" is still used today.

Economic overview

In 2011, the comprehensive strength increased significantly. The total economic volume has been increasing continuously, achieving "four breakthroughs and four doubles", which has better fulfilled the predetermined goal of the current government: the total social output value has exceeded 6.85 billion yuan, with an average annual growth of 29.2%, nearly quadrupling; the total industrial output value has increased sharply. Based on the strong development potential, in February 2011, our town was designated as one of the second batch of small town comprehensive reform and construction pilot units in the province, competing with Guankou and other national strong towns. Over 6.5 billion yuan, an average annual growth of 30.3%, nearly quadrupled; total fiscal revenue over 280 million yuan, an average annual growth of 35.3%, more than quadrupled; township level fiscal revenue over 59.4 million yuan, an average annual growth of 27.6%, more than doubled. New breakthroughs have been made in industrialization, and the layout of Dongfu Industrial Zone, Fengshan Industrial Zone, Fulian district and Yinong district has been completed, providing a strong foundation and backing for the economic development of the town.

The process of urbanization strides forward. Dongfu central urban area has been basically formed. Dongfu commercial street and Dongfu social service center have been put into use. Dongfu planning exhibition hall will be opened soon. The project of Dongfu cultural activity center and gymnasium will be completed, and the transformation of Dongfu school will be completed. The construction of Tianzhu garden, Dongsheng garden, Jiaxin Garden Phase I and Qitou and Lianhua waikou apartments will be completed, and jiaxinhua will be promoted orderly Phase II of the park, Jialong garden, Jiafu garden, Jiahong garden resettlement housing, commercial housing group across Yunxi, phase II construction of Haixiang Avenue, and municipal reconstruction of both sides of the old 324 National Highway and Fulian road. In 2010, the education work of our town was rated as excellent grade by Xiamen city. We will further improve the cultural and sports facilities in rural areas, complete the construction and repair of a number of cultural and sports venues in Zhendai, Dongyao, guoban, zhaihou and Houke, complete the construction of rural libraries in 12 villages of the town, and go deep into each village to carry out the "charming Dongfu" art performance.
