The origin of bee Zhang
How did the name "bee Zhang" come from? According to research, the present bee zhangzao was a desert land in the early Ming Dynasty, where many wild jujube trees grew. Every spring, jujube flowers were in full bloom and the fragrance was strong. Later, a total of eight families of Liu, Wang and Yang came to live from other places. They opened up wasteland here and formed a small natural village, commonly known as "laobajia". Because it is close to the county seat, the villagers grow and sell vegetables for a living.
At the end of the Qing Dynasty, Zhang Guangde, who had beekeeping skills, came to laobajia from Kaifeng. He saw that the jujube forest here was very suitable for beekeeping, so he set up camp here to raise bees. Because Zhang Guangde is famous for his beekeeping, people nicknamed him "bee Zhang". Later, when other villagers saw that Zhang Guangde's beekeeping was profitable, they also learned his beekeeping skills from Zhang Guangde, making this small village a famous beekeeping professional village. A few years later, people called the original "old eight" bee village. In addition to keeping bees, Zhang Guangde also planted a large area of peach trees. At ordinary times, he was intimate with Zhuangli people and gave gifts to Zhuangli people during the Spring Festival. In addition, Zhang's fair and friendly manner was highly respected. Because "Zhuang" and "Zhang" are similar, people gradually changed "bee Zhuang" to "bee Zhang", thus the name of the person gradually evolved into a place name.
